Catholic Social Service, serving Yavapai County, provides services to people of all ages, races and faiths who are in need. With the help of 130 employees and dedicated volunteers, we provide 21 programs and services which helped more than 19,000 people last year alone. Our annual budget of $5 million comes through grants/contracts from the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Arizona Department of Health Services, Northern Arizona Council of Governments, Yavapai County Long Term Care, Governor's Office of Housing, The United Way of Yavapai County, individual contributions, the Bishop's Charity and Development Appeal (CDA) and fees. Almost 90% of our income goes directly to programs and services...and less than 1% for fundraising expenses.
The Mission of Catholic Social Service: Affirming human dignity and developing just and caring communities for vulnerable children, families, and people in crisis.
Our programs and services are built around three areas of support that give hope and help to everyone we serve. Those three areas are supporting people in crisis, strengthening families, and protecting and nurturing children. We're Catholic Social Service and we've been helping people since 1933.
